The Port Townsend City Council’s Ad Hoc Committee on Public Safety and Law Enforcement will be extending its work into next year.
The Port Townsend City Council voted unanimously to approve the extension during its Nov. 16 meeting.
Under the extended work plan for the committee, members planned to use the already-scheduled Dec. 28 meeting to discuss possible recommendations and formulate a community outreach plan to receive input from members of the minority community.
At the meeting scheduled for Jan. 25, the committee will seek to focus on hearing from members of the community and finalizing the committee report.
