Jefferson Healthcare, Tri-Area Pharmacy to schedule vaccine appointments starting Thursday for people 85 years and older

Jefferson Healthcare has announced that starting Thursday, Jan. 14 it will begin scheduling COVID-19 immunizations for residents 85 years old and older.

Appointments are being made through Jefferson Healthcare's COVID-19 vaccine webpage at https://jeffersonhealthcare.org/covid-19-vaccine/.

People over 85 that are unable to access the website can also call the Jefferson County Department of Emergency Management at 360-344-9791, where volunteers will be available on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Thursday, Jan. 14, to assist in scheduling appointments.

Vaccinations will start Monday, Jan. 18.

The Tri-Area Pharmacy in Port Hadlock will also be giving vaccinations to folks over the age of 85.

Appointments can be made through the pharmacy’s website (covidbi.timetap.com), and can also be scheduled via a link to the pharmacy on the Jefferson Healthcare website.

In a Wednesday announcement, Jefferson Healthcare said vaccinations through the Tri-Area Pharmacy will be available on Tuesday, Jan. 19 and Thursday, Jan. 21.

Tri-Area Pharmacy will be administering the Moderna vaccine, which also requires two doses. Tri-Area will able to serve between 80 and 100 individuals per day. Individuals 85 and older can call Tri-Area directly at 360-379-9800.

Patients who are eligible for vaccination under the 1a criteria remain eligible to receive immunization and can email vaccineresponse@jeffersonhealthcare.org.

Anyone receiving a vaccination through Jefferson Healthcare should bring the following to their appointments:

• State-issued ID that shows age and residence in Jefferson County;

• Insurance information, if applicable;

• Completed patient acknowledgement form (available at jeffersonhealthcare.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Adult-COVID-19-Vaccine-Patient-Acknowledgment-and-Administration-Record-Pfizer-BioNTech.pdf);

• Recipients in the 1a group should also bring an employee badge or healthcare employment identifier; and

• Those receiving a vaccine should review the V-Safe Information Sheet (https://jeffersonhealthcare.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/V-Safe-Information-Sheet.pdf)and the EUA Fact Sheet (https://jeffersonhealthcare.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Pfizer-BioNTech-COVID-19-Vaccine-EUA-Fact-Sheet-for-Recipients.pdf) prior to arrival.
