Independence Day was peaceful this year

Posted

It was such a quiet and peaceful evening on July 4 this year. I know that many dogs and cats and horses appreciated NOT having fireworks.

Although the fireworks are beautiful to see in the sky the loud noises disrupt many small and large animals.

Just to take a quiet walk that night was such a pleasure.

After working at the Fiddle Tune concert and listening to wonderful songs I was grateful to return home and not find my dog under my bed.

So I just wanted to say that for many of us it was a blessing not to have the fireworks this year.

One of my best friends in Vermont lost two fingers when a firecracker went off. Thinking of him this year.

To all the other great events this past week I say a big thank you for sharing your music and voices at Fort Worden, and in churches and at the movies, too!
