Heidi for the future

Posted

What will Jefferson County be like in 2120? Now more than ever, we need our public officials to exemplify a proactive approach to creating a better place for the future residents of our community. Heidi Eisenhour is a candidate for our future. She has proven time and again that she has the ability to unify and marshal groups to exceed their goals. Her resume includes work with nonprofits, government agencies, and sustainable businesses. Having these kinds of work relationships has allowed Heidi to gain knowledge in different sectors of our economy and sustainable growth-stimulating policy.

She believes in a resilient local food system. Heidi has been instrumental in District 2’s agricultural renaissance. In her eight years at Jefferson Land Trust, she helped conserve vital local farmland from destructive development projects. In addition to her time at the land trust, she has been heavily involved in laying the groundwork for local businesses like the Chimacum Corner Farmstand and Finnriver Farm & Cidery.

Having grown up in a commercial fishing family in Port Hadlock, she understands the important piece of our economy that supports 2,200 jobs. Heidi’s current job is chief operations officer for the Northwest Maritime Center where she manages a $4 million budget and over 40 employees.

Heidi was supportive of me throughout high school. Since graduating Chimacum in 2016, I’ve come across several different leaders, but none quite like Heidi. She will lead us to a brighter future. I urge you to vote Heidi in August and November!
